Platinum is the precious metal that has the fewest allergic reactions. It is also the 2nd most expensive (more so than gold and much more so than silver).

Rhodium is a member of the platinum group of metals and has a low occurrence of allergic reactions. It is the most expensive precious metal ounce-for-ounce. It is used mostly as an electoplate over white gold to give it a more reflective surface. Also, white gold will yellow after years, as it does have yellow gold in it.

I say definitely go with Platinum. It is very popular right now and lasts! It can be very beautiful in an elegant setting. Stay away from Rhodium electroplating.
Reply:You should be ok with platinum. My wife has the same problem so we went with platinum for her rings with great results. The allergy is due to the nickle thats in most precious metals so look at the percent stamp on whatever you buy.
Reply:rhodium is cheap n fake !!! d original platinum wont irritate ur skin !!!!
Reply:Platinum should be ok, you should also be able to wear Titanium and it is lighter.
Reply:just plain platinum will not bother your skin, but the platinum rhodium will. just get anything that's not fake and you'll be fine!
Reply:platinum all the way!! It is super strong also...my rings are 4 yrs old and there are no dents or scratches. But I also have white gold rings that are newer that are covered in little nicks.

It is more expensive but it will last longer and it ages to a beautiful patina.
