When ever my dogs fur rubs against my skin I get hives on my skin whever it rubs. Why is that?

When ever a dogs fur rubs my skin I get a cluster of hives where it was rubbed at. Even my boyfriends beard will do that to, do I have some kind of skin allergy?

You have an allergic reaction. I'm not too sure what it could be, but I'd go see a doctor and see what kind of prescription you need. At first I thought it might have to do with the oils or the dander in your dog's fur/skin. But since the same thing happens from human hair, I'd say you have very sensitive skin, and definitely some kind of skin allergy.
Reply:your probably just allergic. try not to let him/her touch you
Reply:I also have the same problem with the dog hair. I would go get allergy tested.
Reply:yea you're probably allergic to fur (and i guess facial hair? haha)
Reply:You have sensitive skin; allergic reactions.

Tell your boyfriend to shave his beard. You shouldn't have any pets with a condition like that.
Reply:You are allergic to dogs or perhaps something their owner washes them in. Is it all dogs are just certain types?

You may have to see a doctor to calm down you allergic reactions. Good luck. Pops
