When I get out of the shower my skin feels like a burning, itch and flares up. Can I have an water allergy?

1. May burn, itch anf lares as you said if the water is too hot for you. Consider using cold or warm water.

2. If the water is normal (cold or warm) and you feel this- check your soap or gel, if non of these are used then, consider using a sponge when you shower or have a bath.

3. I doubt this though- "check your pipeline"

See if getting a water softener helps.
Reply:I would think it's something in the water? Do you have hard water? Is there a lot of lime in your area?
Reply:it's your soap. what are you using? try using something with a moisturizer in it.
Reply:probally the showers you are taking are to hot for your skin water dries out the skin and hot water is really horrible, or you might have an allergy to the soap or shampoo you use
Reply:Is something in your water? Some kind of metal perhaps?

Or maybe you should shower in colder water. Perhaps your body can't stand the heat.
Reply:are u makin up excuses for not showerin? LOL, its probably that ur usin perfumed soap that ur allergic to.
Reply:i think it's your soap
Reply:i get the too ..i used to have it really bad when i was younger..i do take really hot showers and it usually happens when i have really dry skin..the hot water usually dries my skin out..so you might wanna lower the temp of the water or start mosturizing your skin before or after your shower
Reply:It sounds like you have at least a good case of dermatitis and perhaps some eczema. I would use a mild soap and get a gentle lotion, like Cetaphil, try using for a couple weeks and see if that doesn't help.
Reply:Does your city add chlorine and flouride to the water like where I live? It could be the chlorine.
Reply:No, not a water allergy. Sounds like an allergy to your soap. Have you ever tried looking up what's in your products? Try it some time. It will make you go non-toxic and never want to go back! The average person uses over 100 chemicals per day on their skin. Of those, about 10% aren't so good! I just found this all out on my own research project... We have decided to shop at a non-toxic store...and we feel so much better. As a matter of fact, my husband's adult acne has gone away.
